Dr. Epps is a native of Lexington, South Carolina. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Neuroscience from Duke University in Durham, NC and completed her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
Dr. Epps served as the chief resident in Internal Medicine at MUSC where she completed an Adult Cardiology Fellowship. While there she researched gender differences in patients with ST elevation during Myocardial Stress Perfusion Imaging as well as echocardiographic patterns in post-ETOH septal ablations in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy patients.
Before joining Columbia Cardiology in 2007, Dr. Epps served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at MUSC. Her practice interests include invasive, non-interventional cardiology, preventative heart disease, women’s heart disease and pacemakers and defibrillators. She currently serves as Chief of Cardiology at Lexington Medical Center.
Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Epps is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the South Carolina Medical Association and the American Medicine Association. She is a member of the Lexington Medical Association, where she currently serves as Secretary.
